The 1991 book Sophie's World was a philosophy primer disguised as a novel. Author Jostein Gaarder used the metaphor of the world as a computer program to get his point across, so it was appropriate to turn the book into an interactive CD-ROM. I helped write dialogue and text for animations (Macmillan 1997).
